The aletto Hotel Kudamm is located right in the heart of western Berlin and you can also reach City West quickly and easily by public transport from Aletto Potsdamer Platz. Far away from the noisy club and hipster scene, the best way to explore the old and magnificent Charlottenburg is to take a long walk.

An extensive shopping trip right on the famous Ku'damm boulevard offers something for every taste. If you continue on Tauentzienstraße, you come across the famous Kaufhaus des Westens (KaDeWe), which is only worth a visit for window shopping. If you're looking for a more relaxed, alternative shopping experience, Bikini Berlin is the place for you. On the roof terrace, you not only have a beautiful view of the zoo's monkey enclosures, but you can also forget the hustle and bustle of the big city between concrete and greenery with a small snack and drink.

But anyone who's already staying at Ku'damm shouldn't just think about shopping. There are also many other exciting places and discoveries in the immediate vicinity.

Arts and entertainment

An absolute must for all photography enthusiasts is c/o Berlin in the Amerikahaus right next to our aletto Hotel Kudamm. Contemporary photographers and also some new talents are presented here with their exciting projects. And the Museum of Photography is also just a few minutes away with the famous Helmut Newton Foundation, which together presents all forms of photography from the last 3 centuries.

More culture can be found right around the corner! The Stage Theater des Westens and the Vagante stage right next to it provide the best entertainment in the evenings.

If you prefer moving images on screen, you only look one house away: The Delphi Film Palace primarily shows independent productions. Blockbusters can be found 5 minutes away at the Zoo Palast, a cinema that particularly impresses with its historic flair and elegant ambiance.

Go out to eat

There are restaurants and cafés nearby, but Savignyplatz is the best place to eat. Here you will not only find green spaces that invite you to relax, but also a variety of top restaurants and well-stocked bars.

Relaxing in the countryside

The most obvious thing should also be mentioned again here: the zoo! If you are not directly interested in animals and paying admission, you can walk across the Landwehr Canal to the zoo.
